In 2003, we expanded from our historic Cañete vineyard to Ica, seeking a new terroir for crafting better-quality wines. Ica is a Peruvian province renowned for its vast desert and rich ancient history, such as the iconic Nazca Lines. It is also traditionally considered the best place to grow grapes for Pisco. The province's climate is arid, with mild winters and hot, sunny summers. Ica's deep, mineral-rich soil, especially abundant in magnesium, is ideal for grapevine cultivation and the development of unique flavors.
The history and environment of this region inspired us to develop a wine that celebrated our roots as Peruvians, birthing the Intipalka brand. The name stands for "Valley of the Sun" in Quechua, Peru's native tongue, and refers to the name the Incas used for the Ica Valley.
These wines represent our great efforts as Peruvians to make the best-tasting wines in the world. We have gone so far as to become one of the three wine providers for Central, the best restaurant in the world, which features our N1 wine.
